Is it time to go Electric with your Forklifts?

We are offering a full review of your equipment before the end of October 2017. This will help you find cost savings, improve your environmental credentials and the health of your workforce.

Going electric will reduce emissions, whilst still retaining power and efficiency you recognise with desiel forklifts.

Koenig & Bauer group, one of the oldest printing machine manufacturers in the world, based in Germany, have opted for zero emission electrical trucks, to replace their diesel ones for more efficiency and also to help with environmental costs.

We believe it is time to go electric with your forklifts as some of the main benefits to this include:

  • Drastic noise reduction from your machines.
  • Higher reliability and robust machines, built for sustained use.
  • Reliable in all weather conditions.
  • A reduction in operation costs.

It seems that the shift is focusing more on emission costs to the environment. With a plan to scrap petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2040 in the UK, but FLT operators do not need to wait until then. These machines can run indoors as well as outdoor conditions.

Wacker Neuson’s newest generation of Vibratory Plates

For the ultimate in compaction technology come to Huskisson for a look at Wacker Neuson’s vibratory plates! The DPU80, DPU80r, DPU90, DPU110 and DPU110r are available to all our customers in the North West, this newest generation of vibratory plates offers a lot of benefits:

  • Liquid-cooled engine for significantly reduced noise emissions and a very efficient engine cooling
  • Large fuel tank – easily accessible with a visible level indication, sufficient for about 4 hours of continuous operation
  • Large air filter for long engine run times and maintenance intervals
  • Low height ideal for application in trench shoring
  • Open base plate – easy to clean without risk of damaging hydraulic hoses

Each new model has “guaranteed first-class compaction results” and offers top-of-the-range safety when in use. With the r models the operator can control the plate freely with an infra-red remote control, requiring only a clear line of site to the machine. This frees you from any dust, hand-arm vibration, noise emissions or exhaust fumes.

However the manual vibratory plates still offer a high standard of control and comfort for the operator. These plates are equipped with a new feature that detects if the machine is being used on too hard ground and will either reduce the vibration intensity or shuts the machine off (this function can be adjusted in the configuration menu of the machine).

Extended running time on Wacker Neuson Battery-Powered Rammers!

You can now work for longer before recharging with an upgraded battery for a Wacker Neuson AS30e or AS50e battery-powered rammer! Thanks to the state-of-the-art battery cells used your rammer’s running time has increased by 50%. There are no practical changes to the model itself, customers can switch to the new battery with ease and continue using their AS30e or AS50e as usual. The battery chargers can also still be used.
The increase in running time was made possible by increasing the energy capacity of the battery from 600 watt hours to 1000 watt hours which extends the usage by 50%.

New Gehl 650 Articulated Loader Video

Available at Huskisson to our North West customers the 650 Articulated Loader boasts “state-of-the-art ergonomics”, great visibility and simple-to-use controls. This is achieved with some handy features:

  • Fully adjustable steering column with center-mount instrumentation for easy operator reference.
  • A seven-way adjustable seat providing a comfortable ride for the operator.
  • Excellent 360-degree visibility is achieved by positioning the operator above instead of behind the load for safe operation and excellent view of the attachment.
  • Engine speed can be conveniently controlled two ways: (1) with the right foot throttle or (2) with the convenient hand throttle, which also allows the ground speed to be controlled independently of engine speed.
  • Multi-function joystick lever controls the lift arm, bucket, float, travel direction, differential lock and auxiliary hydraulic functions.
  • Cab doors have an extended-latch design, which allows latching in a slightly-open position for limited ventilation, per operator preference.
  • Standard cab models equipment includes heat, four working lights, wipers on front and rear windows, a cup holder and adjustable side mirrors.
  • Spacious surface window area offers excellent all-around visibility.
  • Generous sound absorbing material between the cab and engine compartment is standard with cab enclosure and suppresses sound levels.
